FIRSTO & CSD Sleeves Application
Communications networks and control systems for today's offices, buildings and other areas require extensive cabling. For that reason, wire and cable management must be treated as an important design element. With the explosion of growth in a variety of communications services, customers and contractors are demanding greater capacity and easier placement methods. Moves, adds, and changes occur almost constantly, and as a result, manufacturers are introducing numerous cable support products to meet those demands.

Selecting the most appropriate pathway or support system for all of the cabling routes is the best way to prevent excessive mechanical stress on cables and thereby eliminate any possibility of performance degradation. At the same time, knowledge of general construction practices, local and national codes are also required.
FIRSTO & CSD Sleeves are specifically suitable for the fire resistant ducting of cables and/or cable trays through wall and floor penetrations.
Main application areas are the petrochemical, telecom and computer industry. However FIRSTO is the ideal Firestop solution in any work area where cable maintenance and frequent changes may be necessary.
FIRSTO cable tray fire stops are developed as a modular system which is simple to assemble around the cable run against the wall or on the floor. Working in inaccessible openings is often cumbersome. With FIRSTO this is a thing of the past.
The system is not only easy to install, but it also makes it a simple job to add or remove cables at a later date. All that needs to be done is remove the cover, lift out the top layer (or layers) of fire safe ACTIFOAM rubber, add or remove the cables, and then close the Firestop again. What could be simpler? The Firestop prevents the spread of smoke and fire, and can withstand heavy mechanical loads.
FIRSTO is specifically suitable for the fire resistant ducting of cables and/or cable trays through wall and floor penetrations. No other Firestop can offer the high level of security with the flexibility, time and cost savings and highest quality standard that FIRSTO offers.
Easy, simple and flexible
The FIRSTO cable tray fire stops are developed as a modular system which is simple to assemble around the cable run against the wall or on the floor. Working in inaccessible openings is often cumbersome. With FIRSTO this is a thing of the past.
Based on the ACTIFOAM technology, a number of fire tests have been carried out with FIRSTO, in which the steel casing was filled with a fire resistant packing of ACTIFOAM sheets. It was found that even where a Firestop was positioned entirely at the exposed side it effortlessly complied with an F-90 fire rating. The advantage of the ACTIFOAM technology is that it is no longer necessary to apply any material in the opening or to install a Firestop at each side of the wall.
Minimized time and costs
CSD Sleeves come as either split halves for retro fitting that simply clip together, or as a single non-split piece for use prior to running cables or pipes
The ease of specification that FIRSTO offers substantially reduces engineering and design time. FIRSTO & CSD Sleeves can be supplied fully assembled, which simplifies materials management and minimizes the risk of components going astray.
FIRSTO & CSD Sleeves are developed by engineers who understand your operational needs and the circumstances in which ducting of cables and cable trays through wall and floor penetrations are done.
Maximized quality of service
FIRSTO & CSD Sleeves are successfully tested and approved for walls, floors and ceilings for more than 4 hours per unit.
FIRSTO is nontoxic, the materials are chemically-neutral and contain no halogens, formaldehyde or asbestos. Its high quality stainless steel design is also proven that it can be used in nearly any environment e.g. hazardous, interior or exterior, dry or wet.
FIRSTO units are widely used and have been thoroughly tested worldwide. FIRSTO is a product of BEELE Engineering guaranteeing the highest product quality, the best in service, just-in-time supply and outstanding technical support.
